Is Eight Days Enough for a Tibet Tour?
The safest approach is to not arrange any itinerary for the first or the last day of your Tibet trip to avoid delays and to allow you to adjust your schedule during these two days. In addition, you need to enter and exit Tibet at the time specified on your Tibet Travel Permit. Missing the flight or train you need to take will cause some unnecessary trouble. So it can be roughly assumed that after subtracting two days from eight days, the actual time spent on the trip is around six days. It sounds like the time is a bit tight, but as long as you plan it reasonably, it's fine to have enough fun in Both Lhasa and Shigatse. Adding a visit to Nyingchi will also work.

Only Visit the Core Attractions for Saving Time
Since your travel time is limited, it should be fully utilized on the most famous and worthwhile attractions. This is not to say that other less popular attractions are not worth it, but those well-known and iconic ones are in line with the taste of the general public and are less likely to go wrong with.
Take Lhasa as an example. You can choose from the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery with confidence. All of them are universally praised.
When the journey progresses to Shigatse, Tashilhunpo Monastery and the Everest Base Camp, these two renowned places, are undoubtedly the top choices.
As for Nyingchi, there are a bunch of attractions full of greenery and vitality that I can list off one by one: Gala Peach Blossom Village, Bomi Valley, Basum Tso, Lulang Forest Sea, Gangyun Spruce Forest.

Make the Most of Your Travel Time to Ensure a Smooth Connection between Each Attraction
Drawing on my years of industry experience, I am well aware of the importance of the perfect connection between attractions.
First of all, there are certain hidden rules regarding the order of visiting attractions. Some relaxing attractions should be arranged a few days earlier, while some physically demanding trips should be placed later. The sequence is related to the altitude of the scenic spots and the intensity of the visit. To make it short, all of these are based on the consideration of giving tourists sufficient time to adapt to the plateau environment. Just like the visit to the Everest Base camp must be scheduled for the last few days.
Secondly, it is also very important to consider which attractions should be arranged in a day, and which ones are in the morning and which ones in the afternoon. For example, the visit to Sera Monastery needs to be arranged in the afternoon as the famous debate doesn't start until 3 p.m.
Thirdly, what attractions can be added along the way during a long drive from one place to another? Otherwise, the long drive would make you drowsy. On the way from Lhasa to Shigatse, you can take a small detour to Yamdrok Lake, one of the Three Sacred Lakes in Tibet. Then, you can head to the Karola Glacier along the way. After arriving at the hotel in Shigatse in the evening, you will find that the whole day is so fulfilling and so natural and logical.
Fourthly, how should the six days of actual sightseeing be allocated? It would be a scientific plan to spend two days in Lhasa, three days in Shigatse, and one day back to Lhasa from Shigatse. Of course, for private customized Tibet tours, it can also be based on your ideas. We will offer reasonable suggestions for you.

Conclusion
Finally, unless you just want a completely natural or cultural journey, I usually suggest that natural landscapes and cultural attractions should complement each other to achieve mutual success. Train booking
We are a group of 15 (perhaps 17) who need to take the June 8th 15:27 train from Xining to Lhasa. We need to book this soon so prompt reply would be helpful. We are getting our permits from an agent and should have them in 6-8 days.

plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April
Hi! I would like to plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April (3rd to 10th ideally) to Nepal, Tibet, and, if possible, Bhutan. Do you think it would be doable? Based on what I read, there are some places/things to do to consider: Nepal: Everest Base Camp trek and the Annapurna Circuit, ancient temples, sacred sites like Lumbini, Kathmandu, Tibet: The Potala Palace in Lhasa and the Jokhang Temple. eventually the holy Mount Kailash or the high-altitude plains. Bhutan: Thimphu, Paro, and the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery. To take part in cultural traditions, yoga, meditation... Of course I am open to any recommendations you could make. For your reference, we are both based in Asia: him, in Bangkok and myself in Macau. Thank you so much for the information you could provide and, if possible, an estimated budget for your offer.
