Golden Periods for Viewing Mount Everest with Unobstructed Clarity
While visits to Mount Everest are available throughout the whole year, its characters change with the seasons. Some tourists prefer an unobstructed full view of Mount Everest, especially for photography enthusiasts, as clear and bright weather makes it easier to take gorgeous pictures.
Visiting Mount Everest in Spring or Autumn Offers a Greater Chance of Seeing the Unobstructed Wonder
The Everest Base Camp located in Dingri County, Shigatse City, is the best platform to view Mount Everest. It is fully equipped with all kinds of facilities to meet the various needs of tourists. The straight-line distance from the summit of Mount Everest is about 19 kilometers. Although there is a certain sense of distance, it also ensures safety and allows you to capture the beauty of Mount Everest from a broader perspective. In addition, the Everest Base Camp has hotels and tent camps providing guesthouses. The urge to witness Mount Everest's tranquility and the Milk Way at night knows no rival.

The Everest Base Camp welcomes its spring from April to June, bidding farewell to the icy and snowy winter. All tourism and operating activities become active and frequent. At this time, the windy season is gradually receding and the weather is gradually warming up. During spring, the highest temperature during the day is approximately between 0℃ and 19℃, while the lowest temperature at night fluctuates within the range of -10℃ to 5℃. The absence of rainy weather makes everything look better. The sky is clear, with few clouds, fog and rain. It is perfectly normal for several sunny days to follow one after another. However, after the middle and late June, the rainy season gradually and quietly arrives.

September to November is also a suitable period for seeing a clear view of Mount Everest. From September, the rainy season passes, and the Everest Base Camp once again enters its goldern period of the year. September and October are the autumn months for the Everest Base Camp. The daytime temperature is relatively mild, usually ranging from 10℃ to 20℃, which is suitable for outdoor activities. Although the temperature at night will drop to around 5 to 6 degrees Celsius, it is still a little warmer than in spring. When the time moves forward to November, in fact, early winter arrives. The temperature range throughout the day is between -10℃ and 10℃. It is obviously colder than autumn. However, this period of time has the advantage of early winter when the temperature is still tolerant and the crowds subside, making it more conducive to taking photos and enjoying the scenery.
May and October Are the Two Most Balanced Choices for Appreciating Mount Everest
From my personal perspective, I strongly recommend May (after May Day) and October (after National Day). After avoiding the crowds of the two festivals, there are many significant advantages left: the travel prices are moderate, the temperatures are neither too cold nor too hot, and the two months avoids windy, rainy and snowy days. Since May is the optimal season for mountain climbing and trekking, if you want a less crowded viewing time, then choose October.

Conclusion
If your schedule is tight and you are limited to a specific time period to visit Tibet, don't worry. We can help you find the most suitable day to set off and view Mount Everest during the designated time. While we worry, like all who cherish this peak, about customers missing its glory, we're here to ensure they don't!

Train booking
We are a group of 15 (perhaps 17) who need to take the June 8th 15:27 train from Xining to Lhasa. We need to book this soon so prompt reply would be helpful. We are getting our permits from an agent and should have them in 6-8 days.

plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April
Hi! I would like to plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April (3rd to 10th ideally) to Nepal, Tibet, and, if possible, Bhutan. Do you think it would be doable? Based on what I read, there are some places/things to do to consider: Nepal: Everest Base Camp trek and the Annapurna Circuit, ancient temples, sacred sites like Lumbini, Kathmandu, Tibet: The Potala Palace in Lhasa and the Jokhang Temple. eventually the holy Mount Kailash or the high-altitude plains. Bhutan: Thimphu, Paro, and the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery. To take part in cultural traditions, yoga, meditation... Of course I am open to any recommendations you could make. For your reference, we are both based in Asia: him, in Bangkok and myself in Macau. Thank you so much for the information you could provide and, if possible, an estimated budget for your offer.
