How Much Does A Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival Tour Usually Cost?

Jun 16, 2026 9:10 By lewis

The Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival falls in the spring of Tibet, a season when all things come back to life. The best time to enjoy the peach blossoms in Nyingchi is from mid-March to mid-April each year. This period also coincides with the time when the Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival is held, usually around the end of March or the beginning of April, with slight variations each year. The grandeur of this festival has become increasingly grand year by year. In 2026, this festival was held on April 3rd, and it will arrive as scheduled around this time period next year.

How Much Does A Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival Tour Usually Cost?

For most destinations in Tibet, March and April are the shoulder season for tourism, but for Nyingchi, due to the blooming time of peach blossoms, it is the peak season. In order to book their favorite hotels, tourists tend to book their trips several weeks to months in advance, which is extremely sought-after.

Our best-selling 8 days Nyingchi - Pomi - Lhasa - Shigatse small group tour gains more and more popularity among foreign tourists. This travel package takes you to visit Nyingchi for 4 days, Lhasa for 1 day, Yamdrok Lake and Gyangtse for 1 day, and Shigatse for another day at a reasonable price range even during peak season. The last day is the farewell day for each tourist to leave Tibet by transportation. Taking the price of 2026 as a reference, this 8-day Tibet tour package costs around 1,340 US dollars per person. It mainly includes hotel accommodation, entrance tickets to scenic spots, service fees for a driver and tour guide, transportation costs for the entire tour car or mini bus, the cost of individual special lunches and dinner, oxygen supply on board, insurance, and free pick-up and drop-off service from the airport/railway station to the hotel. At the same time, the Tibet Travel Permit is a free gift when booking a Tibet travel package.

What Other Expenses Need to be Considered When Joining in a Trip to Nyingchi?

The Nyingchi small group tour covers the major expenses, but there are still some expenses that tourists need to bear themselves and vary from person to person.

The first one is the most crucial cost of entering and leaving Tibet. Nyingchi has both railway station and airport station. It depends on which one you like.

The hotels booked by our travel agency for group tours are all standard double rooms, which means that if you don't have any members who can share a room with you, you need to pay the single room supplement.

All the hotels provided by our travel agency includes breakfast. Considering that the tourists on the tour come from all over the world, we did not make a unified plan for most of the lunch and dinner, giving tourists enough space to choose according to their own tastes.

Regarding some personal expenses, for instance, although our tour group provides some on-board oxygen, tourists need to purchase it at their own expense after using it up. They can choose which store to buy it from and make the choice based on their own physical condition. There is no mandatory requirement. Additionally, most tourists have no resistance to the souvenirs of Tibet and they are all very meaningful. You can consider setting aside some money for the souvenirs. How can modern life be complete without the Internet? Most hotel accommodations offer free Wi-Fi, but once you go outdoors, you'll find that you need to activate international roaming services, or choose to buy a Chinese phone card and activate a VPN service.

Conclusion

Finally, our Tibet travel package does not include the cost of your Chinese visa, and you also need to handle the passport application by yourself. However, if you have any questions, you can consult our travel agency. We will provide enthusiastic assistance services to our customers.

Train booking

We are a group of 15 (perhaps 17) who need to take the June 8th 15:27 train from Xining to Lhasa. We need to book this soon so prompt reply would be helpful. We are getting our permits from an agent and should have them in 6-8 days.

Best time to travel for the Linka festival

Hey, I'm looking to travel to the Linka festival with my partner. When is the best time to go this year? Thanks!

Answered by Tibet Tour team

Dear Guest,

Hope you are having a wonderful day! I was delighted to receive your inquiry about experiencing a Tibetan "Linka" with your partner.

Welcome to Tibet Tour Team! With over 20 years of experience in Tibetan travel, we have helped thousands of international travelers explore the beauty and culture of this incredible region. It would be my great pleasure to introduce you and your wife to Tibet and the unique tradition of "Linka."

In Tibetan, "Linka" refers to a park, grassland, or wooded area, while "guo Linka" means spending time there—eating, drinking tea, singing, chatting, and relaxing. It’s a beloved weekend or festive activity among Tibetans.

You asked about the best time of year to experience Linka.Let me walk you through the following aspects:

1. Best Season & Why

Linka is all about leisurely relaxing in meadows or wooded areas under the sun. For this reason, July and August are highly recommended. During these months, the weather is pleasant, the scenery is stunning, and you can enjoy ample sunshine, fresh air, and brilliant blue skies—perfect for fully immersing in the refreshing high-altitude atmosphere.

Additionally, August hosts the Shoton Festival, one of Tibet’s most important traditional celebrations. Locals typically enjoy about a week of holiday, during which residents of Lhasa gather in parks like Norbulingka and Zongjiao Lukang to set up tents, enjoy yogurt, sing, dance, and celebrate Tibetan outdoor culture. You’ll even get to try special Tibetan yogurt, which is deliciously tangy and sweet—in fact, “Shoton” means “yogurt feast” in Tibetan!

2. Recommended Itinerary

Considering your interest in Linka and the recommendation above, I am eager to suggest our specially designed 10-Day Lhasa, Yamdrok Lake, Shigatse & Everest Linka Tour during Shoton Festival. This is a one-time-only departure timed perfectly with the festival. The departure date for this itinerary is August 10th (this is the day you arrive in Lhasa).

More detailed information about the Lingka Festival tour itinerary and introduction has been sent to you by email. Please kindly check your inbox. Thank you very much.

plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April

Hi! I would like to plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April (3rd to 10th ideally) to Nepal, Tibet, and, if possible, Bhutan. Do you think it would be doable? Based on what I read, there are some places/things to do to consider: Nepal: Everest Base Camp trek and the Annapurna Circuit, ancient temples, sacred sites like Lumbini, Kathmandu, Tibet: The Potala Palace in Lhasa and the Jokhang Temple. eventually the holy Mount Kailash or the high-altitude plains. Bhutan: Thimphu, Paro, and the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery. To take part in cultural traditions, yoga, meditation... Of course I am open to any recommendations you could make. For your reference, we are both based in Asia: him, in Bangkok and myself in Macau. Thank you so much for the information you could provide and, if possible, an estimated budget for your offer.

Dear Shek, Thank you for reaching out and we are here to help. For Hong Kong residents that want to travel to Tibet, a Tibet Travel permit is not required, as long as you have the HKSAR passport, as well as the Home Return Permit (HRP). Officially known as the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, the HRP can be issued to Chinese nationals that are permanent residents of Hong Kong in order to enter mainland China. Cheers!

Is it open for Indian Passport Holder?

Answered by Tibet Tour team

Dear Nayak, Thank you for reaching out! We're here to help. Well, for Indian passport holders who plan to visit Mt. Kailash, you have to book your Tibet tour with a licensed Nepali or Indian travel agency that is authorized by the Foreign Affairs Office of TAR or Pilgrim Center (also known as Tibet-India Pilgrim Reception Center) to get your Tibet Travel Permit and run your Tibet tour. If you are an Indian origin who lives outside of India and have another passport, let's say a US or Canadian passport, in this case, we can help you get the Tibet Travel Permit and other travel documents and arrange the Mt. Kailash tours for you.

Dear Azmi, Thanks for your inquiry. A viable option is to fly from HK to Chengdu and later take Chengdu-Lhasa train to Lhasa.
