Recommended Sunglasses for Tibet's Strong UV Rays
If you're gearing up for a trip to Tibet, never underestimate those intense UV rays. With its high altitude and clear skies, Tibet's UV radiation can be up to three times stronger than at lower elevations. Trust me, a solid pair of sunglasses isn't just a stylish accessory, and it's an absolute essential for keeping your eyes safe and your vision clear. Here's your ultimate guide to picking the perfect sunglasses for your Tibetan adventure.
Polarized sunglasses are highly recommended for Tibet. They can effectively reduce glare from snow-covered mountains, reflective lakes, and the sun-baked ground, enhancing visual clarity. This is particularly useful when driving or walking in the bright sunlight. Brands like Baoili offer polarized lenses that are not only functional but also stylish. These lenses can help protect your eyes from the intense UV rays while providing a clear and comfortable view, allowing you to fully appreciate Tibet's stunning landscapes without squinting.

Make sure your sunglasses have UV400 protection. This level of protection ensures that the lenses block 100% of UVA and UVB rays, which is crucial in Tibet's high-altitude environment. Prolonged exposure to unfiltered UV rays can lead to serious eye problems. Always look for sunglasses that explicitly state they offer UV400 protection on the label or product description.
Oversized sunglasses provide better coverage and protection against UV rays. Their larger frames shield not only your eyes but also the sensitive skin around them from harmful radiation. They can also add a fashionable touch to your look. Whether you prefer a classic aviator style or trendy cat-eye frames, oversized sunglasses are a practical and stylish choice for your Tibetan journey.

Choose sunglasses made from lightweight and durable materials. Aluminum-magnesium alloy frames, for example, are both lightweight and sturdy, making them ideal for long-hours of outdoor activities in Tibet. Acetate frames are another great option, offering flexibility and comfort. Comfortable frames will ensure that you can wear your sunglasses throughout the day without discomfort, no matter if you're trekking through valleys or exploring ancient monasteries.

Conclusion
Investing in a high-quality pair of sunglasses is non-negotiable for your Tibet trip for your safe and health.

plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April
Hi! I would like to plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April (3rd to 10th ideally) to Nepal, Tibet, and, if possible, Bhutan. Do you think it would be doable? Based on what I read, there are some places/things to do to consider: Nepal: Everest Base Camp trek and the Annapurna Circuit, ancient temples, sacred sites like Lumbini, Kathmandu, Tibet: The Potala Palace in Lhasa and the Jokhang Temple. eventually the holy Mount Kailash or the high-altitude plains. Bhutan: Thimphu, Paro, and the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery. To take part in cultural traditions, yoga, meditation... Of course I am open to any recommendations you could make. For your reference, we are both based in Asia: him, in Bangkok and myself in Macau. Thank you so much for the information you could provide and, if possible, an estimated budget for your offer.
