Why is 2025 a Good Year to Visit Everest Base Camp in Tibet
Since the past 2024, the wave of China travel on global social media platforms has been rapidly rising. It is closely related from the support of China's continued expansion of the visa-free national policy. In the new 2025, China will further implement this policy and extend the visa-free stay period for some countries from 15 days to 30 days. My dear friend, if not now, when to travel to Tibet? Catch the opportunity and let's embark on a legendary and exciting journey from Lhasa to Mt. Everest.
Why is Mount Everest Popular in Tibet?
The magnificent Qinghai-Xizang Plateau has been widely known as the roof of the world. On this plateau stand the awe-inspiring Himalayas. Located in Tibet, Mount Everest is the main peak of the Himalayas, with an altitude of 8848.86 meters, making it the highest mountain in the world. Challenging the highest mountain in the world is the ultimate dream of countless people. No matter trekkers, climbers or tourists who come here because of its fame, only if they do come, they will enjoy themself so much as to forget to leave.
On a clear and sunny day, the clouds of Mount Everest will float along the summit to one side like a flag fluttering in the wind. These are the flag clouds due to the unique terrain of Mount Everest, attracting many tourists to come for.
When visiting Mount Everest, you will find yourself in an ethereal world of ice and snow, surrounded by continuously astonishing glaciers that stretch for kilometers here.
Mount Everest is also the filming location of the famous movie 2012. Do you have any impression of the monastery submerged by the sea in 2012? It’s exactly the Rongbuk Monastery, located on the northern slope of Mount Everest. This is also the perfect place to admire and photograph Mount Everest. Besides, the Rongbuk Monastery is filled with a collection of Buddha statues and thangkas with high artistic value, which will lead to your deeper understanding of Tibetan Buddhism’s religious connotations.
