Packing Tips for Layering Clothes in Tibet
The truth is, in Tibet, you can experience all four seasons in a single day. To deal with it, You need to bring smart, functional pieces that work together. Forget bulky cotton jeans and single heavy coats. The key is choosing pieces that each have a specific job, can be mixed and matched effortlessly, and are lightweight enough to carry—especially for high-altitude trekking.

3-Layer System for Tibet Trip
The Base Layer: This is the layer against your skin, and its most important job is moisture-wicking. As you hike up to a monastery or explore a local market, you might sweat. Materials like merino wool or synthetic fabrics will pull that sweat away from your body to keep you dry and warm. Avoid cotton at all costs, as it holds moisture and will leave you feeling cold and clammy.

The Mid Layer: This layer traps the heat your body generates. The champion here is a lightweight down jacket or a fleece. These are fantastic because they provide incredible warmth for their weight and can be easily compressed into your suitcase. A cozy fleece is perfect for a chilly morning in Lhasa, while that puffy down jacket will be your best friend at Lake Yamdrok or Everest Base Camp when the wind picks up.
The Outer Layer: This is your protection against the elements—wind, rain, and snow. A waterproof and windproof hard shell jacket is essential. Look for something breathable so you don't overheat during a light hike. This layer doesn't need to be thick; its job is to block the weather, while your mid-layer provides the warmth.

Smart Packing
Packing smart is just as important as choosing the right clothes.
Rolling your clothes instead of folding them saves a tremendous amount of space in your luggage and also helps prevent wrinkles.
Embrace Compression: Use compression sacks for your bulkiest items, like your puffy jacket and fleece. You'll be amazed at how small they can become, freeing up room for souvenirs.

plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April
Hi! I would like to plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April (3rd to 10th ideally) to Nepal, Tibet, and, if possible, Bhutan. Do you think it would be doable? Based on what I read, there are some places/things to do to consider: Nepal: Everest Base Camp trek and the Annapurna Circuit, ancient temples, sacred sites like Lumbini, Kathmandu, Tibet: The Potala Palace in Lhasa and the Jokhang Temple. eventually the holy Mount Kailash or the high-altitude plains. Bhutan: Thimphu, Paro, and the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery. To take part in cultural traditions, yoga, meditation... Of course I am open to any recommendations you could make. For your reference, we are both based in Asia: him, in Bangkok and myself in Macau. Thank you so much for the information you could provide and, if possible, an estimated budget for your offer.
