Accommodation Tips for Tibet Namtso Lake Tour
Namtso Lake, one of the three sacred lakes, is one of the most optimal stargazing spots in Tibet at the same time. The beauty of this lake at night is so captivating that you can't help but want to stay for a night. But before you make your final decision, here are some things you need to know.

Stay a Night near Namtso Lake
To the south and east of Lake Namtso are the lofty Gangdise Mountains and the majestic Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains, while to the north and west are highland hills and vast lakesides. This geographical environment determines that the number and conditions of accommodation around are very limited.
Accommodation near Namtso Lake is mainly concentrated on the Zhaxi Peninsula on the south shore and the Holy Elephant Gate on the north shore. Generally, there are two options: tent camps and guesthouses. The greatest advantage of living here is that as soon as you step out of your door, you are greeted by the vast and purest sky, and the beautiful scenes from sunset to sunrise are all within easy reach. However, everything has two sides. This primitive beauty is achieved at the cost of being far from the city center, so the accommodation conditions here can only be kept simple. You can imagine that most of the accommodation here doesn't have private bathrooms. Some are even multi-person rooms. Even so, there are still warm beds, electric blankets, running water, electricity and so on. Besides, you need to take into account the low temperature, lack of oxygen and strong wind in the surrounding environment. Try to choose a relatively warm climate for your trip and carry enough oxygen tanks. Make sure to take good care of your warmth. If necessary, you can consider carrying a sleeping bag. As for food, most of the food provided here is traditional, with some Sichuan cuisine. There are relatively few other types of food, so it's advisable to bring some snacks before going.

Stay a Night in Damxung County
The driving distance from Namtso Lake to nearby Damxung County is just a few dozen kilometers, which can bring about a complete transformation to your accommodation conditions. There are quite a few star-rated hotels here, including three-star and four-star ones. The most important thing is that some of the rooms in these hotels are oxygen-supplied rooms. The average altitude of around 4,200 meters here is lower than that of Lake Namtso at around 4,700 meters, which can give you a little relief. If you want a more comfortable accommodation experience, there are also rooms here equipped with floor heating and humidifiers.

Conclusion
Some unique experiences do need to be exchanged for the quality of accommodation, just like when you go to the Everest Base camp or go trekking around Mount Kailash.

Train booking
We are a group of 15 (perhaps 17) who need to take the June 8th 15:27 train from Xining to Lhasa. We need to book this soon so prompt reply would be helpful. We are getting our permits from an agent and should have them in 6-8 days.

Hi, I’m interested in doing the Mount Kailash tour. I only have holidays from 20/09 to 4/10 this year. Do you have a tour that includes these dates? How much would the tour be? Are the flights, visas, passes and permits included in your prices? Thank you kindly. plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April
Hi! I would like to plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April (3rd to 10th ideally) to Nepal, Tibet, and, if possible, Bhutan. Do you think it would be doable? Based on what I read, there are some places/things to do to consider: Nepal: Everest Base Camp trek and the Annapurna Circuit, ancient temples, sacred sites like Lumbini, Kathmandu, Tibet: The Potala Palace in Lhasa and the Jokhang Temple. eventually the holy Mount Kailash or the high-altitude plains. Bhutan: Thimphu, Paro, and the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery. To take part in cultural traditions, yoga, meditation... Of course I am open to any recommendations you could make. For your reference, we are both based in Asia: him, in Bangkok and myself in Macau. Thank you so much for the information you could provide and, if possible, an estimated budget for your offer.
