Worshipping Festival

Worshipping festival is Tibet religious festival. It is named "Zhuba Zhexi" in Tibetan language. It is hold in June 3rd in Tibetan calendar, every year. It is said that the June 4th is the time when Sakyamuni lectured on scripture for the first time. So in June 4th, monks and Buddhism believers in Tibet will hold solemn chanting scripture ceremony. In this day, all people, no matter old or young, female or male, will dress festival clothes and takes various foods to nearby monastery to show their respect. Buddhism believers will lighten up lantern, burn incense, kowtow to show respect and chant scripture to pray for the blessing of Buddha so that they can get seasonable weather and harvest in the year, drive off evil spirits and diseases, flourish population and livestock and everything will goes well. After worshipping, people will go out to have fun on the outdoor grassland. They will not go home until the sunset.
