The precipitation of Lhasa during October – April only takes 3 percent of the annual precipitation. Hence, this period was called dry season or windy season.
The precipitation of Tibet between May and September takes about 90 percent of the annual precipitation. The precipitation of Lhasa during May and September takes 97 percent of the annual precipitation. Hence, this period was called wet season or rainy season. The night rainfall, thunderstorm and hailstone happen frequently in the rainy season.
